Testimonials
"I am extremely grateful to have worked with Barry Sigrist on the Disney feature film; Mary Poppins Returns (2018), in which I play the role of ‘Angus'. On set, in one particular scene I was involved in a high energy and high intensity, all male, 10 min dance number, in which I was required to leap, flip, spin and everything in between. Needless to say this was extremely taxing on the body, especially with heavy repetition of movement, particularly on shoot days. Barry was incredible, knowing exactly how to treat any niggling pains or injuries that I was experiencing, as well as being able to provide exercises that strengthen weaker muscles to prevent the re-occurrence of these injuries. Barry was a great physiotherapist, providing a relaxing, comfortable space that I looked forward to being able to go to at the end of each day on set. He is a great conversationalist, with a real understanding and appreciation for art and artists which means conversation is always positive and impactful. I felt comfortable to talk about work, life or movement/ body related issues and topics that may have been negatively impacting my performance that day, and thus often left with both my mind and body in a healthier state. Treatments and sessions with Barry undoubtedly enabled me to perform at my best on screen. I can only hope to work with such an exceptional professional again in the near future. Thanks for everything mate!"

"I found Barry’s techniques different to anything else I have come across but extremely beneficial. His wide range of methods addressed and released tight areas increasing my flexibility. Since using Baz my mobility has improved dramatically and contributed to keeping me injury free."

- Scott Loach, Professional Footballer & England under 21 International - Watford FC
“I worked with Barry for a few years, from the age of about 17-20, during my time at Watford Football Club. During this period of working with him, he worked alongside the other
physiotherapists and sport scientists at the club to help identify the main areas of weakness in my body. Since working closely with Barry to improve these aspects, it has helped me take my game on to the next level. As a result, this has helped contribute towards me achieving England Under 21 and Team GB Olympic call-ups. The work he put it in to help me is greatly appreciated.”

- Marvin Sordell, Professional Footballer, England under-21 International, GB Athlete - Watford FC
“Barry is one of the best in the biz. Over the coarse of a 5 month shoot with around 9 to 10 hours of wire work, dodging explosions and hitting the ground a day, it gets a bit tough on the body. Barry was key in keeping me up to the task. Couldn’t have done it without him.”

- Antal Kalik, Stuntman - Jupiter Ascending
"Barry and Sophie have always been brilliant and crucial physiotherapists for me during my career. Taking the time to really listen and understand everything regarding my injuries from years of being a professional dancer and performer on stage and on screen. From physical treatment to equipping me with the necessary knowledge and exercises for rehabilitating myself in between in-person sessions to speed up recovery. I will always highly recommend Production Physiotherapy to anyone seeking physical help as they have saved me on uncountable occasions!"

- Leon Cooke, Actor, Mary Poppins Returns, The Little Mermaid

- Jon Scott-Clark, Actor, Mary Poppins Returns, The Little Mermaid
"I have worked with Barry on a professional and personal level over the last few years. I first met him on a large Disney production where he worked his magic on our stunt performers, which enabled them to keep performing while managing different ailments. Personally, Barry has put together some great programmes for me following running injuries and shoulder surgery after a biking 'incident'. I found his treatment to be very well thought out and very progressive, building muscle and targeting the injured and affected areas perfectly. I can't recommend Barry highly enough. - Ben Dimmock, Stunt Coordinator and Performer."

- Ben Dimmock, Assistant stunt co-ordinator, Mary Poppins Returns, The Little Mermaid
“Barry came to me by chance. He helped me, the actors and my stunt team with his expertise. My crew are under high stress situations and end up carrying injuries without proper rest in order to heal. That’s where Barry came in and looked after the performers and gave them the opportunity to keep working. Would be great to have Barry around all the time.”

- Ben Cooke, Stunt Coordinator & MMA Athlete - Jupiter Ascending
I love my job as a performer, but, when the repetition of 8 shows a week was testing the limits of my body (and mind) Barry and Sophie came to the rescue! They were incredibly supportive, understanding and reassuring when helping me recover from an injury - whilst also being insightful, motivating and inspiring when prescribing treatment and advice for future safeguarding. I cannot speak highly enough about their knowledge, professionalism and warmth. I am so, so grateful to have met them - and very much hope to work with them again!

“Baz worked with me most days and made sure my body was as prepared as possible and moving as it should. He was able to produce fantastic results with his soft tissue work to keep me fit and on the pitch for the season with West Ham!”

- Matt Jarvis, Professional Footballer & England International - West Ham United FC
“I worked with Barry for a few years at West Ham and found that he had a great talent in helping my recovery very quickly. Through my experience of having a lot of aches and pains in my body I know that it can take some time to release tightness but Baz's time and effort helped me a lot. A top therapist . Thanks Barry”

“Clear and consistent communication. Exceptional support to the companies who have expressed their appreciation of the physio provided to them. When we have had issues they were rectified and dealt with very quickly. Feedback from the companies is that they feel very supported by Barry and Sophie, and receive excellent care.”

- Producer, West End Production
“It is a very personal, consistent approach and as a company manager it is great that everyone gets assessed at the beginning of a contract and then we get reports that are clear to understand and work through”

“The knowledge passed on it sessions has been so helpful, as are the ways you’ve found to keep our performers consistent with their work”

- Company manager, West End Production
“It has been wonderful to feel that PP service has been so personalised to what we need as a Production, but also for individuals support. We described out tour and what we wanted to offer and PP provided exactly what we needed, they helped us get the right equipment and build a plan within out budget. The physio provided, was not only extremely qualified but the right personality to fit with our team and working methods – Hugely important when touring with someone for 5 months.”
It has been nice to feel that there has always been someone to talk to at all levels. There is a natural conversation with the assigned physio, but Barry and Sophie are always available for a conversation, to advise and to offer support. The particular understanding of performing arts, the physicality of different types of dance and notably of the emotional and mental impact on dancers is hugely helpful in how they approach dealing with injury, and rehab”

- Producer, North America Touring Company
“When I arrived in January 2013 I was in such pain and discomfort from a long year of training and racing triathlons. Ending with an Ironman in Late November. I was suffering with what I thought was a hip problem. I was REALLY struggling. Through our sessions together not only did Barry help relieve the discomfort , he educated me with body mechanics and exercises to help heal and prevent future problems. I came to the UK barely able to run100m , and last weekend completed half marathon with a personal best. You saved my Life Mate!”

- RA Rondell, Stunt Coordinator & Iron Man competitor - Jupiter Ascending
“Amazing man thanks very much. You’re a huge resource and it’s really reassuring that we can work on this stuff together. Every other time I’ve had to do this I’ve just had to wing at and figure it out on my own. Really nice to have advice and assistance”

"Barry and I first met at a local CrossFit gym. Walking into his Consulting Room, I recall him wearing a set of premiership West Ham football shorts, I thought this guy must know his stuff. Fast forward 7 years, I was 100% spot on!
Having a medical background myself, I follow a motto which I cannot claim to be mine, but Barry instinctively follows. When you first see a patient, work colleague or associate, you should 'connect first, then educate second'. When in Barry’s extremely capable hands, this is how he makes me feel.
My first consultation with Barry was with functional fitness related injuries. With Barry's assistance and programme adaptation, these were overcome, without any issues.
In 2017 I ruptured my long head of bicep tendon, which resulted in shoulder surgery and having a bicep tenodesis. My active lifestyle and my job as a paramedic coming to an immediate stop, I was truly at a loose end. However, I knew Barry would be able to get me through this. He guided me and came on the journey with me and I was back swimming within three months and lifting my body weight above my head within five months post surgery.
Not knowing one journey of surgery and shoulder rehab would lead to another. 18 months after my first surgery, I had surgery on my other shoulder, after months of rehab/prehab suffering shoulder pain. Medical imaging showed a superior lesion anterior posterior (SLAP) tear of my labrum in my shoulder. Guided rehab protocols could not assist me to the level of fitness I desired. I made the choice and was fortunate enough to have elective surgery with the same surgeon. Once again, I was a post operative patient of Barry, there was only one guy I really trusted.
Going through two shoulder surgeries with Barry was a journey. Barry did not allow me to get fixated on the outcome, but encouraged me to enjoy the process, which mentally was exactly what I needed. He believes in not taking shortcuts, being consistent on standards, we kept those standards, we did not let them drop off.
Barry is a true professional, I would highly recommend him and I know if I ever needed his help again, I would be straight back in his consulting room."
